Cancerchatcanada came to us with the task of producing a coherent online experience for the various members of their cancer support groups. Formerly part of the BC Cancer Agency, Cancerchatcanada provides online group therapy solutions for survivors of cancer and their caretakers. The problem? The Cancerchatcanada site, message board, chat client and registration process was all over the place. There was also no automized way for the staff to collect information and data which meant that the small office was overextended in every way.
Creating a custom system for Cancerchatcanada has allowed the small office staff to cut down on the huge amount of time spent on administrative tasks and focus on increasing the number of online therapy groups as well as pushing the program nationwide to help support people in remote areas of the country with limited access to treatment options. Feedback on the new site experience by clients has been overwhelmingly positive. The next step for Cancerchatcanada? Français bien sûr!
